Florida Vaca 2012

Us, our dear friends, and my mom and dad (and their friends) all headed to Santa Rosa Beach for the Hampton/Cecil wedding in October.  It was a good time to go - the weather was gorgeous, it wasn't crowded at all...but there were some crazy biting flies on the beach that hurt like the dickens, and unfortunately, our resort pooling was freezing cold.  FREEZING!  So much so, that Jude swam in the hot tub most of the week.

For this trip, we thought we would spread the day over two days. leave Friday night, stay the night in Birmingham with some friends, and do the rest of the trip in the morning.  With a two year old, and a pregnant lady with an insane bladder issue, it was perfect.  Another perfect choice, dinner at Waffle House on Friday night.

Jude got tons of attention from the sweet waitresses, and a cool hat.  The perfect place to stretch our legs, use the restroom, and get out some energy.

We're here! Day one on the beach.
Beach snuggles.

Jude's guys.

Our family (with Brycie in utero...we didn't know if she was a she or he at this time, but something (ahem, Jude) kept telling me it was a girl!)

Being a boy.

The absolute BEST PICTURE EVER!!  Seriously, the tongue, the pee?  Instant classic! Jude was in the middle of potty training, and was super confused on where to go potty when we were at the beach...our answer - the ocean.

But the sand on his trunks after pulling them down to the ground led to major 2 year old drama.
 But he's still so cute.

Hanging at the pool.

Jude became pretty obsessed with Laura and Brian.  They even adopted him for a photo.

Beautiful sunset.
Jude vs. the powdered donut.  Jude won - and he found a new favorite food...lucky me.

K Pa bought Jude a cowboy hat and boots.  They were a hit.

Jude's first visit to the track.  So many memories there for me.

And the main event...the wedding!  And if course I don't have one picture of the most gorgeous bride ever!
Isn't my mamma so pretty?

Jude's adopted grandma - Debbie Snacks.

Oldies, but goodies.

And Jude's new girlfriend.  How sweet are they?
 Baby swag.
What a fun trip with my dear friends, family and celebrating the Cecils!

Boo at the Zoo

We went to the Zoo again this Halloween with the entire family.  We had ourselves the most darling little Teddy Bear and cutest Dragon I've ever seen.
Ah, a 2 1/2 year old...no patience for a photo with his mommy :(

First stop - the me round go (as Jude calls it).

Had to include this - classic Kitty's funny Mommy face.  It never gets old.
These boys were very interested/confused by these puppets.

Especially when one of they started talking to me and calling us by name!  We knew the puppeteers. Hence these next couple pics...hi Rae and Jess!

I am convinced that this is where Jude's fear of owls started.  He was totally creeped out by the huge owl knowing him by name.  His fear of owls is quite comical - the neighbor's fake owl over his garden causes complete hysteria when Jude looks at it out his bedroom window at night.

Besties.

Just posing.

Jude thoroughly loved the princesses...ahh, young love.

This was his first year of understanding trick or treat -- he was a pro by night's end.

Daddy's absolute favorite.
One hot Teddy.
Precious boy.

Trying to bribe Jude to get in a picture with them!
Dance party!
And I seriously saved the best for last.  This is the geriatric/sweltering/dead (?) bear.  He was slumped over on a bench not moving at all.  I sure hope the person wearing him was ok!
