First Movie

Not really a whole movie, but a 30 minute film at the Imax about animals that they were showing at the Science Center.  K Pa took Jude and I there for a morning of fun.  Jude actually sat on my lap and paid attention for the first 20 minutes -- I was impressed.  Then the last ten minutes, he ran around the very back of the theater, but a success nonetheless.

Waiting for the film to begin.
Playing in the kids' zone after the movie.
I think it will be some time before we go to a feature film (and I can't wait to use Jude as an excuse to see every kid's movie!), but at least we know he can make it through a short one and remain somewhat behaved.  Thanks K Pa (or Pa Pa as Jude says) for a fun morning.

My Little Giraffe

It's probably very obvious from the millions of Zoo posts, that Jude loves the Zoo.  His favorite animal though, is the giraffe, and for Halloween this year, that's what he is.  We went to the Zoo for the World's Largest Halloween Party with Mimi and Daddy, and had a ball!  The weather was perfect, Jude got the concept of the whole trick or treat and getting candy, and he burned some major energy running around in their hay maze.

Me and my little giraffe before walking over to the Zoo.
Side view of his whole outfit.
Of course.
Checking out the real giraffes.

King of the Zoo.
Trick or treat!
With his first princess - flirts.
His new favorite thing is riding on Dada's back.  Lonnie will say, "Want to ride on Dada's back?"  And Jude walks right over to him and hops on.  Clearly he loves it.
Yea, this is a strange pic...a giraffe and a Mommy in Alice's Wonderland.  Lonnie thought I was about to break the seat since obviously this chair is for a toddler.  Whoops, I didn't though.
My mom and I made Jude get a pic in the yellow submarine...not the best pic, but a must for us Beatles fans.
We had such a good time, and I didn't even capture any pictures or video of the hay maze.  Jude was running around laughing and acting like a lunatic in this maze.  We had such a good time, and can't wait to go next year with baby Waller!

Fall Fun at Foxhollow

Foxhollow Farm had a family fall festival last weekend, and we were excited to take our family of three to partake in the fun.  Getting there was quite the trip from our house since it was in Oldham County, but well worth the trip.  I know we'll be back for years to come.  It was so unseasonably hot this day, but made for a perfect day.
Just getting started.
Checking out the farm animals.
How's that taste Jude?
Heading out of the hay maze.
Not quite old enough for horse rides.
Piggyback on Daddy will do for now.
LOOK AT THAT!  This kid loves vroom vrooms (anything that moves - motorcycles, tractors, cars,...you name it).  Checking out his next ride.
Our family picture before we rode the hay ride.
He wasn't terribly thrilled with the tractor at first.  It was very noisy, and we sat at the very front so we could get a good look at it.  Here he is just taking it all in.
Getting a little scared....
Mommy please!
Check out those mooooooo's.
By the end he really started to enjoy himself -- even waving to the other tractor.
They also had a fire truck -- huge hit!  Jude got to drive it and stand on this beast of a machine.
I could so see Jude growing up to be a farmer.
That's his little hand at the very front, holding out some hay to feed the ponies.
We had such a great time at the farm!  We're going to go to Huber's in a few days with Kitty, Mimi and Baby Waller, and now that he's an old pro, he can show them the ropes.

Two Peas

Momma D and Pappa G's

Jude loves when he gets to spend time at Momma D and Pappa G's house.  They have so many cool toys for him to play with over there, and he is always so excited when we pull into the driveway.  A couple weeks ago, we all went to visit, and here's just a glimpse of the fun that happens at their house.

They have a toddler slide inside the house for Jude.  He slides down it, runs down it, and loves watching his Momma D go down too.
They have a bubble machine!  It was broken on this particular visit, but Momma D got out old-fashioned bubbles, and he watched them float around, shouting "bubble" and running around laughing hysterically.
Popsicles are always around at their house too.  After an exhausting bubble chase, he downed two of these - no bib required.

We're so thankful that we live so close to our families, so Jude can get lots of quality time in with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousin.

Second Home

I know I post about the Zoo ALL THE TIME - but Jude goes to the Zoo a couple times a week.  This time, K Pa brough his camera and took some pics of Jude's adventure.

Meeting some sort of Iguana.
Petting a turtle in the petting zoo.
And a goat.
Checking out his ride.
He's starting to get into the elephants now.
Sunbathing...
 What's that you see?
His favorite -- the giraffe!
And just a couple I snapped when I took him recently.
