Go Cards!

We are a Cards family -- my immediate family and Lonnie's immediately family are Cards fans, so Jude of course came out wearing red. C-A-R-D-S Cards! The first football game was this past week, and Lonnie went with a friend, and Jude, Kitty, Waller Harris and myself watched the game at our place. Jude seemed to pay attention somewhat. He got excited from all the noise, and pranced around the living room. But, at one point, Kitty yelled really loud (she's a very noisy at-home fan) and scared him so much that he cried. Poor guy. Anyway, we all donned our red for the game, and Lonnie left a little early to get home a take a quick peek at Waller -- who is such a good baby!

Some Stats

Hey Jude! Before you're a boy, I need to jot down some stats about you. I found some of the Dr's notes that have with your weight/height. etc. So, before I lose even more of them....here are the stats I found.

Birth - 21 1/4 in, 9 lbs 3 ounces. At the time they didn't tell me what percentile you were, but you came out long and big. You didn't seem like a chubster though, I guess because you were tall. Still, your Momma had you beat with weight - I was 9 lbs 8 oz.

2 months - Height: 23 3/4 in (75%) Weight: 12 lbs (50%) Head Circ: 16 in (50%). Here's where you started getting to be a lean machine.

6 months - Height: 27 3/4 in (90%) Weight: 15 lbs (10-25% You had me worried little guy!) Head Circ: 17 1/2 in (50-75%)

9 months - Height: 28 3/4 in (50-75%) Weight: 18 lbs 13.5 oz (25%) Head Circ: 18 in (50-75%).

12 month stats are lost somewhere - I need to get that from the Dr. But, I'm pretty sure you were 25ish in weight and 90ish in height.

15 months - Height: 32 in (90-95%) Weight: 22 lbs 9oz (25%) Head Circ: 19 in (75-90%)

18 months - Height: 33 1/2 in (75-90%) Weight: 25 lbs 2oz (25-50%) Head Circ: 19 1/4 in (75-90%)

500th visit to the Zoo

Not really, but it feels like it. We live a stone's throw from the Zoo, and go all the time. Like really ALL THE TIME. I love it there, Jude loves it there, and it's an easy activity for us all.

On our 500th visit to the Zoo, Jude moved the world.

Rode the carousel - imagine that.

Stared at his favorite animal - the giraffe.

Looked at some "du's" aka ducks.

Drove a pretend bus.

Went to the petting zoo - where we didn't pet one animal, but instead washed our hands for ten minutes.

And played at the Splash Park - this doesn't capture the activity too well, but I promise we were there...Jude just decided that the only picture I could get of him at the Splash Park would be him doing a head stand on concrete....my boy :)

And that's a wrap! I am caught up, officially, for the first time since I started this blog. I need a drink!

Precious boy

I look at these pictures and I thank God for the little angel I have. And then I remember what he's like when he's awake. Still an angel of course, but a pinching, tantrum throwing, pacifier obsessed, picky eating, dog hitting, head butting one. I'm pretty sure Jude's one of the roughest 18 month olds on the block. But, that's ok! He keeps us all on our toes, he truly loves us all to pieces. He makes my heart melt every day, and has shown us all how deep down we can love. I love you my rough and tough angel!

Typical Saturday Morning

I think I found Jude's Halloween costume.

Not really, but I had a mustache from a work event (don't ask) that I brought home. He clearly hated it, and lasted in it for 2 minutes. Oh well.

The Fair!

Ok, I will admit it...I LOVE THE FAIR! I love the fried food and lemonade, I love looking at the 'interesting' people (I'm trying to be nice about it), I love the talent contests, I love the random cooking exhibitions, I LOVE the farm animals and their stink, I love the rides - the cheesier the better (who doesn't want to see a half woman half gorilla? really?!), I love the dance competitions, I love all of it but the price to get in and park. I was so thrilled that Jude would really partake in the fair this year. And there's so many cool things to do with your child. Lonnie and I had a great time watching Jude enjoy the Kentucky State Fair.
