Waller's christening

Waller got christened on February 11.  While Jude slept in the car, and Lonnie stayed with him, the rest of our families watched baby Waller get baptised in Jesus' name.  He was such a darling boy, with the most gorgeous gown thanks to his grandma, and he was so well behaved!

What an angel.

Look who decided to join us.

The greatest show on Earth

Maybe we need to hit up Barnum and Bailey, but the circus wasn't as cool as I remembered.  We went to the Kosair Shriner's circus, and it was neat enough.  We only lasted about an hour and a half, and I heard it went on for 3+ hours, who has time for that?!  Right when we walked in, there were camel rides and elephant rides.  Definitely not something I am comfortable Jude doing just yet.  But we watched others ride for awhile and headed our seats.

Before the show started.
Anxiously awaiting the start.
And that's about all the pics I have apparently.  Some post, huh?  I remember there was a really cute dog show, but it was too far away for Jude to really see.  A man who had 8 tigers (crazy...those tigers seemed pissed if you ask me).  Some crazy (like teletubee crazy), weird creatures that hung on the long ropes.  And a pretty lady on a pretty horse.  Maybe next year we'll all find it a little more thrilling!

How he wears his hat to this day

First month of 2012

Blasting through the first weeks of 2012.  We stayed busy trying to keep this wild child interested in the indoors.
What better way to get out energy than playing outside sports indoors?

Trips to the mall.

A cards game -- pre-final four!!
It was sooo cold!
He loves this window.
A happy cards fan -- he enjoys seeing the cardinal bird and the band the best right now.  I know soon enough he'll be just as crazy as his daddy over this team.
Checking out the frozen fountain.
See you next season Cards!
We practiced on our second set of drums -- since we broke the first (and at the present time, we've broken the second set too!)
We did our winter swim lessons again.  I think this may be the last time for these -- because Jude loves swimming and we can probably teach him the rest on our own.  We really wanted to make sure he wasn't afraid of the water, and he definitely is not!

Getting to know the potty.  Not much progress here, it's more of a foot stool than anything.
Drinking and riding.
Enjoying A (one) decent day outside at the park.

And that's a wrap for January. Five months behind now :)

NYE

Before I get back to Jude posts - I wanted to post a few photos from NYE.  Lonnie and I rang in the New Year with my friends at Veranese.  We do - at times - have a life outside of Jude!

I suck

I have not blogged in four months.  The last blog post was already 2 months behind.  I am six months behind :(  I should just quit, but Lord knows I will never print any of these pictures or scrapbook, so it's the least I can do to try to remember what we did with Jude. Do working moms do this?

On that note, I've been trying to find a working mom's blog.  Anyone know a good one?  The only ones I can find don't get updated that often - hence the struggles of being a working mom who blogs.  A lot of times, it seems like blogging is just another time suck.  I probably do this more for myself for me than for Jude.  Lonnie says that when Jude is grown and gone off to college and left me, that I can just come to the blog and cry my eyes out wishing I had him as a little one again.

Back to it.  Let's see if I can knock it down to five months behind during nap time!
